Design, Pool Plaster I wish I could've stuck around longer to watch
these guys apply the plaster to the pool surface. The means of application
is very similar to that of the shotcrete, in that it is forced through
a hose and sprayed onto the surface, all at once placing and compacting
the plaster. The plaster is allowed to dry for a period of time,
until it arrives at the proper workable state, when it is then troweled
and shaped. It's important to fill the pool with water as soon as
the plaster is ready to receive it. The water actually helps keep
the plaster against the concrete shell. If the plaster is left exposed
too long, the potential for de-lamination increases.
